About Me

Who I am

I was raised on a farm in a small town in Mid-Missouri. I am and always will be a country girl at heart! I married my high school sweetheart (Luke) after we  graduated from the University of Missouri. Shortly after we moved to the suburbs of St. Louis and purchased our first (and current) home.  We have 3 rowdy and wildly entertaining dogs Bosco, Ellsie & Oscar.  We hope to start a family soon.

 I love nature and being outdoors. I love gardening, playing in the dirt, hiking and exploring the earth. I love creating; whether it be crafts, art or home decor I love making beautiful things.  I love music.  Discovering new bands/musicians is a hobby and I could spend all day on youtube or iTunes listening to music.  I enjoy cooking and experimenting in the kitchen.  I love sports; watching them and participating.  Go Tigers!  I attempt to be an avid runner :)

At nearly 30 years of age (yikes! but not quite there)  I feel like I am just starting to figure out who I really am and what I want out of life.  This blog is a way for me to share my thoughts and experiences with the world.  


Why the name "Gingerly Put?"

There are a couple of different reasons.  First, I am a proud red head, also sometimes referred to as a "ginger."  Some think the term has negative connotations but I embrace it. Second, the definition of gingerly: "with great care or delicacy".  I intend to blog just that way. I want to be thoughtful about what I put out into the world.  I guess you could say my blog title has a double meaning.
