Our Pack

People always raise their eyebrows when we tell them that we live in town and have 3 dogs.  Yes, we have 3 unruly mutts that live in our little house in a subdivision.  No big deal.  I grew up on a farm where having multiple dogs was a given and can remember having upwards of 5 or 6 dogs at one time.  All 3 of our precious pups are adopted from rescue shelters.  I think rescues are the best kind of pets.  So, without further ado, our pack:
Bosco
Bosco is our first dog, adopted the day Luke finished college in December of 2005.  Bosco has lived his life in such a way that his name has become an adjective amongst family and friends.  Depending on who you ask, that is a either a positive or a negative. You could say he is a bit "mischievous" to say the least.  He is strong willed but fiercely loyal and I wouldn't want him any other way.  He loves chasing everything, annoying everyone, being in the middle of all situations, eating every morsel of food within his reach, sleeping and watching TV.

Ellsie
Our second dog, adopted about 2 months after we were married, October 2006.  This photo of her kind of says it all.  If you were to list the qualities of the "perfect dog"  Ellsie would probably have them all.  She's the dog that makes people mention "If, God forbid, anything ever happened to you and and Luke, I'll take Ellsie." She is a people pleaser.  She will go out on a run with you, chase a ball 'til your arm falls off, swim like a fish, save the world from evil-doers and then want to lay around and cuddle.  She tolerates everything and loves everyone.  I don't know how she turned out this way, but I sure am happy about it.

Oscar
Our third dog, adopted in  November 2008.  Kind of funny how we ended up with Oscar.  I wanted to get a cat, Luke protested.   We stopped by a Petsmart to pick up some things for B&E and they were hosting an adoption event.  We needed rawhides when we walked in, we walked out with Oscar. Just couldn't say no to that face.  He was a compromise- small and cuddly but not a feline.  So Oscar;  part cat, part papillon, part Mogwai, can usually be found lounging on the back of a couch or sunning himself near a window.  He is the epitome of "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."  He never backs down. He has a bit of an attitude problem at times but is also a loyal cuddler.

The Pack, always up for adventure.
